Darisha sits on the aging and older Americans, agriculture and rural affairs, commerce, consumer affairs, and rules committees. Darisha is the chair of the Women & Girls of Color of Pennsylvania Legislative Black Caucus.
Representative Parker has been a strong proponent of environmental justice, which disproportionately affects her community with the some of highest rates of asthma in Nicetown. She advocates against poverty fighting for affordable housing initiatives, and access to agricultural opportunities in hemp crops and urban farming. Representative Parkers has been busy as prime sponsor for a variety of bills and resolutions that affect the daily lives of the people of 198 districts. Public bills ranging from loan forgiveness and incentives for small businesses, consumer protection, tenant rights. She has partnered with labor highlighting and promoting Internships opportunities in the Trades. She has fought to rebuild local businesses by delivering business-critical incentives for small businesses to recover and create good self-sustaining, living-wage jobs.
